Understanding the Cannabis Grading System

• AA Grade – Also called “dubs” or “mids,” this grade represents the lowest quality. AA-grade cannabis has low potency, minimal aroma, and lacks strong bud density, making it a popular choice for beginners seeking mild effects.
• AAA Grade – Known as “trips,” AAA-grade weed offers a step up in quality with better potency and a stronger aroma. While it has less dense buds than AAAA, it delivers a richer experience. Expect darker, peppery ash rather than a clean white burn.
• AAAA Grade – Often referred to as “quads” or premium weed, this grade is high-quality and budget-friendly. It boasts rich, pungent aromas, excellent bud density, and a smooth smoking experience across all categories.
• AAAA+ Grade – Also called “high quads,” this is the highest available quality, with enhanced characteristics across aroma, potency, and bud density, surpassing the AAAA standard.
