Introducing Our New Grading System: Better Categories, Clearer Choices

We’ve updated our cannabis grading system to give you more clarity and control over your shopping experience. While our previous categories—Gas, Mega Gas, Extreme Gas, and Exotics—helped define the flavour and fire behind our strains, we felt it was time to level up. With more refined quality ranges, diverse terp profiles, and customer demand for more transparency, we’ve rolled out a new system designed to better reflect what’s really in the bag.

The Old System (Now Retired)

Our previous grading system was simple and gas-forward:

• Gas: Classic gassy strains, rated AAA- to AAA
• Mega Gas: Stronger gas, upgraded to AAA+ to AAAA-
• Extreme Gas: Top-tier gas, all AAAA to AAAA+
• Exotics: All exotic terpene-heavy strains, from AAA+ to AAAA+

But with so many drops crossing between gas and exotic profiles, and the rise of boutique craft growers, we’ve built something fresher.

The New Grading System (Effective Now)

Welcome to the next level. Our new categories break down not just potency, but type, grade, and exclusivity:

Lows

Rating: AA- to AA+
Overview: Affordable, entry-level options for light smokers or budget-conscious shoppers. Expect decent terps and moderate potency at unbeatable prices.

Trip Exotics

Rating: AAA- to AAA+
Overview: Flavor-first exotic hybrids with unique terpene profiles, colorful buds, and balanced highs. These are your trippy, vibey options for a creative headspace.

Trip Gas

Rating: AAA- to AAA+
Overview: Gassy, potent strains that lean heavy on aroma and buzz. These are your daily driver strains with that loud punch and classic nose.

Quad Gas

Rating: AAAA- to AAAA+
Overview: This category is for the real gas heads. Think deep purple hues, knockout potency, and legendary pink genetics. Only the finest gas makes it here.

Quad Exotics

Rating: AAAA- to AAAA+
Overview: Grown in small batches by top-tier cultivators, these exotic strains are hand-trimmed, perfectly cured, and built for the connoisseur. Pure luxury in every bag.

LSO Gas

Rating: AAAA to AAAA+
Overview: This category is strictly for connoisseurs of elite, organically grown gas. Each strain in LSO Gas is cultivated by the Love Smoking Organics team using true living soil methods—no synthetics, no shortcuts. Expect heavy indica-dominant strains with thick trichome coverage, greasy resin, and that unmistakable nose: dank fuel, sour kush, and raw petrol funk. Only the loudest, cleanest, and most potent AAAA – AAAA+ gas cuts earn their place here. If it doesn’t hit hard and reek extra loud, it’s not LSO Gas.

Rating: AA to AAAA+

Why the Change?

We’ve been listening to your feedback and watching trends evolve. Not every strain fits neatly into “Gas” or “Exotic.” Some punch hard but aren’t AAAA+. Others are flavorful but not quite “Craft.” This new system:

• Breaks down quality more clearly
• Better reflects price tiers
• Separates craft and commercial flower
• Makes shopping way easier

What Now?

Moving forward, all new drops and restocks will follow this updated system. You’ll still find legendary gas and mouthwatering exotics, but now with clearer labels and consistent grading. Whether you’re shopping on a budget or looking for the top-tier pinks and craft cuts, there’s a category for you.
